Background to the study Hannah Reynolds Associates was commissioned by the South West Forum to undertake a study of the voluntary and community infrastructure in the South West in March 2001. The study progress and process were overseen by a Study Steering Group of members of the South West Forum.
Brief for the study
Describe the current scale, extent and nature of the voluntary sector infrastructure in the South West, identifying gaps in the infrastructure relating to geography; communities of interest; types of services; level of service in relation to need; other needs.
Identify the action needed by funding and policy-making bodies and the voluntary sector itself to secure and maintain a comprehensive and effective voluntary sector infrastructure.
